SUPPORT WORKER RESIDENTIAL / FACILITY CLEANER (SCHOOL)

Qualifications:

• Applicants with no previous work experience are welcome to apply.
• Candidates must be at least a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.
• A Housekeeping Certificate is preferred.
• Previous hotel housekeeping or related cleaning experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning and housekeeping procedures.
• Ability to properly use cleaning tools, equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in offices, buildings, residential areas, schools, and other facilities.
• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent cleaning standards.
• Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing cleaning duties for extended periods.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules, instructions, safety procedures, and supervisor directives.
• Responsible, trustworthy, hardworking, and reliable.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the assigned school or facility.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors in classrooms, offices, corridors, halls, and other designated areas.
• Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, desks, shelves, doors, windows, and other surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and related facilities.
• Clean kitchens, pantry areas, dining spaces, and other common areas.
• Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste and garbage properly according to facility procedures.
• Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies such as soap, tissue, disinfectants, and other consumables.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in frequently used and high-traffic areas.
• Clean spills and other hazards promptly to help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform routine cleaning of windows, glass surfaces, walls, doors, and other facility areas as assigned.
• Use cleaning chemicals, equipment, tools, and supplies correctly and safely.
• Follow proper procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and potentially hazardous materials.
• Perform specialized cleaning tasks as required by the school or facility.
• Assist with deep cleaning activities during scheduled maintenance, school breaks, or special events.
• Maintain cleanliness in residential or staff accommodation areas when assigned.
• Ensure assigned areas are cleaned according to established housekeeping standards and schedules.
• Report damaged furniture, fixtures, plumbing issues, electrical problems, or other facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow infection-control, sanitation, workplace safety, and facility hygiene procedures.
• Keep cleaning equipment, tools, and storage areas clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Maintain professional conduct and respect the privacy and safety of students, teachers, staff, residents, and other facility users.
• Coordinate with other housekeeping and facility staff to complete daily cleaning requirements.
• Perform other cleaning, housekeeping, and facility support duties assigned by management.
