SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT HEAD
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/College Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience is required.
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager, Supply Chain Head, Logistics Manager, or similar senior role, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare supply chain processes, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.
- Experience using supply chain management and enterprise resource planning software, particularly SAP or similar systems.
- Knowledge of SAP MM, AP modules, SAP Plant Maintenance, or related modules is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, stock control, forecasting, purchasing, and distribution.
- Experience in supplier management, procurement negotiations, contract coordination, and vendor performance monitoring.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret supply chain data and make informed operational decisions.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
- Strong organizational, leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to supply chain disruptions or urgent hospital requirements.
- Good understanding of supply chain risks, quality control, documentation, and operational compliance.
- Proficient in using computers and relevant supply chain, inventory, reporting, and office software.
- Ability to work effectively with hospital executives, clinical teams, suppliers, logistics providers, and support departments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the hospital’s overall supply chain management, logistics, inventory, and materials management operations.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support efficient and uninterrupted healthcare operations.
- Manage the procurement, sourcing, receiving, storage, distribution, and replenishment of hospital supplies and materials.
- Ensure timely availability of medical supplies, equipment, consumables, pharmaceuticals, and other operational requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective inventory management systems to prevent shortages, overstocking, expiration, and unnecessary waste.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, consumption patterns, reorder points, and critical stock requirements.
- Develop appropriate inventory-control procedures and ensure compliance across relevant departments.
- Coordinate with hospital departments to forecast supply requirements and plan procurement accordingly.
- Manage relationships and negotiations with suppliers, vendors, logistics providers, and other business partners.
- Evaluate supplier performance, delivery schedules, pricing, product quality, and service reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, purchasing terms, delivery conditions, and other commercial requirements when authorized.
- Monitor purchase orders, deliveries, backorders, and outstanding supply requirements.
- Oversee warehouse and storage operations, ensuring proper organization, identification, handling, and documentation of supplies.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for healthcare products and other materials based on applicable requirements.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, transportation, delivery schedules, and distribution of supplies throughout the hospital.
- Monitor supply chain costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenses.
- Prepare and analyze supply chain reports, inventory reports, procurement data, and key performance indicators.
- Use supply chain management software and systems such as SAP MM, AP modules, SAP Plant Maintenance, or similar platforms.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical records of procurement, inventory, logistics, suppliers, and materials transactions.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, operational issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop contingency and risk-management plans to minimize supply disruptions and maintain continuity of hospital operations.
- Ensure supply chain activities comply with hospital policies, internal controls, quality requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with finance, clinical departments, pharmacy, administration, maintenance, and other relevant teams.
- Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate supply chain, procurement, warehouse, and logistics personnel as assigned.
- Establish performance standards and promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the supply chain function.
- Perform other supply chain management and leadership duties assigned by hospital management.
