601 Engineering Ltd. is seeking experienced and technically skilled Sr. Electrical Engineers / Supervisors for deployment to Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will oversee, manage, coordinate, and supervise all electrical engineering activities and site installations within large-scale construction projects.
SR. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER / SUPERVISOR
Qualifications:
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Preferred age range: 35–50 years old.
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering(Electrical) or similar fields.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering, site management, and technical supervision specifically within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of sub-stations, transformers, power distribution systems, lighting systems, and earthing infrastructure.
- Extensive experience in reviewing, verifying, and coordinating electrical designs, technical submittals, and single-line diagrams.
- Proficient in supervising site teams, managing subcontractors, and monitoring electrical installations for quality control.
- Ability to identify technical faults, interpret electrical wiring diagrams, and implement corrective site actions safely and efficiently.
- Good leadership, analytical troubleshooting, and communication skills to interface effectively with clients and project teams.
Responsibilities:
- Install, implement, manage, and troubleshoot electrical systems, site power distributions, and infrastructure across all construction phases.
- Perform technical reviews of shop drawings, material submittals, and engineering calculations to ensure design compliance.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical installation issues, engineering design conflicts, and site operational bottlenecks safely and efficiently.
- Inspect and monitor ongoing on-site electrical installations to ensure adherence to quality standards and design blueprints.
- Read, interpret, and implement electrical schematics, technical specs, single-line diagrams, and local building codes accurately.
- Support construction management in tracking project milestones, supervising site labor, and driving project execution timelines.
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and pre-commissioning performance checks of completed electrical installations and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with international electrical safety regulations, QA/QC site protocols, and company project standards.
- Coordinate with site engineers, construction supervisors, procurement teams, and client representatives regarding project schedules.
- Prepare site progress reports, inspection requests (RFI/IR), technical documentation, and quality records accurately.
