Senior Production Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master’s Degree in Engineering or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Preferably 8–10 years of experience in chemical or industrial production, including at least 3–5 years in a senior engineering role.
• In-depth knowledge of chemical plant operations, particularly the Solvay process for soda ash and calcium chloride production.
• Extensive experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, and project management within a chemical production environment.
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent process optimization methodologies.
• Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives and improving production efficiency.
• Strong leadership, technical problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Male applicants are preferred for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Lead process optimization initiatives for soda ash and calcium chloride production using the Solvay process to improve yield, reduce waste, and minimize energy consumption.
• Analyze production data and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and plant performance.
• Provide advanced technical support and engineering expertise to resolve complex operational problems and troubleshoot process issues.
• Work with production teams to identify and address bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and production challenges.
• Plan, lead, and execute production-related projects, including process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new technology implementation.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to support successful project delivery.
• Ensure production activities comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead safety initiatives, participate in safety audits, and implement risk mitigation measures.
• Work with quality control teams to monitor product quality, investigate deviations from specifications, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
• Identify strategies to reduce production costs, improve product quality, and strengthen overall plant performance.
• Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to junior production engineers, operators, and other plant personnel.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Safety, Quality Control, Supply Chain, and other departments to support efficient plant operations.
