SENIOR MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Proven experience in diesel engine, transmission, and heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Knowledge of MAN and Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle systems is preferred.
• Experience using computerized vehicle diagnostic tools is highly advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
• Able to interpret diagnostic data and perform repairs accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel engines, particularly MAN D20 and Mercedes-Benz OM 460 engines.
• Troubleshoot engine systems including turbocharging, fuel injection, and emissions control systems.
• Diagnose and repair automated and manual transmissions, gearboxes, and differential systems.
• Use specialized diagnostic equipment such as Mercedes-Benz Star Diagnostic and MAN Cat-Comm to identify faults, reprogram ECUs, and perform system updates.
• Analyze diagnostic data and maintenance alerts from Mercedes-Benz Uptime and MAN remote diagnostic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
• Conduct inspections and report mechanical or electronic faults requiring further attention.
