SAFETY OFFICER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant work experience as a Safety Officer.
• Graduate of any related course (Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety preferred).
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and hazard control.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and enforce safety compliance on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all employees.
• Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for workers.
• Coordinate with management to implement safety improvements and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and international standards.
