REPAIR TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
- At least High School Graduate.
- Male applicants are preferred.
- Previous experience as a Repair Technician, Electronics Technician, Mobile Phone Technician, Device Technician, or similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electronic device hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Experience replacing screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, speakers, connectors, and other electronic components.
- Practical experience in soldering and micro-component repair is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of circuit boards, electronic components, connectors, and basic electronics.
- Ability to safely disassemble and reassemble electronic devices.
- Experience with software installation, updates, resetting, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, testing equipment, soldering equipment, and electronic repair tools.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and precision when handling small electronic components.
- Ability to identify hardware and software faults efficiently.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Physically capable of performing detailed technical repair work for extended periods.
- Responsible, patient, reliable, and quality-conscious.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a technical repair team.
- Willing to learn new repair technologies, devices, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose hardware and software problems in electronic devices and equipment.
- Inspect devices to identify defective, damaged, or malfunctioning components.
- Perform repairs and replacement of defective components, including screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, speakers, connectors, and other electronic parts.
- Disassemble and reassemble electronic devices safely and accurately.
- Perform component-level troubleshooting to identify the source of technical problems.
- Carry out soldering and micro-component repair when required.
- Use appropriate soldering equipment, hand tools, testing instruments, and repair equipment.
- Inspect circuit boards and electronic components for damage, corrosion, loose connections, or other faults.
- Perform software installation, updates, configuration, resetting, and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose operating system, application, connectivity, and software-related problems.
- Perform device resets and software recovery procedures according to approved technical procedures.
- Test repaired devices to confirm that hardware and software functions are operating properly.
- Conduct quality checks before returning repaired devices to customers or users.
- Ensure replacement parts are compatible with the device being repaired.
- Handle electronic components and sensitive devices carefully to prevent further damage.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, replaced components, diagnostic findings, and completed work.
- Report recurring faults, difficult repairs, defective parts, or other technical issues to supervisors.
- Maintain adequate stocks of commonly used repair parts, tools, and supplies.
- Keep repair tools, testing equipment, workstations, and service areas clean and organized.
- Follow proper procedures for handling electronic components and potentially damaged batteries.
- Observe workplace health and safety requirements when using soldering equipment, electrical testing tools, and repair equipment.
- Protect customer devices and maintain confidentiality of customer information and device contents.
- Provide professional and courteous assistance when explaining repair findings or procedures to customers.
- Stay updated on new devices, repair techniques, components, software, and diagnostic procedures.
- Perform other technical repair and maintenance duties assigned by management.
