Pakistani Islamia Pvt. Secondary Schools L.L.C. is seeking a qualified and compassionate Psychologist to support the academic, emotional, social, and behavioral well-being of students. The successful candidate will conduct psychological assessments, provide counseling and therapeutic interventions, collaborate with educators and parents, and contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

PSYCHOLOGIST

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Psychologist, preferably in an educational or school setting.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Science, Psychology, or a related field.
• Must have sufficient academic credits in Advanced Theories of Personality, Advanced Abnormal Psychology, Counseling and Psychotherapy, and Advanced Psychological Assessment.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, counseling techniques, and behavioral intervention strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
• Compassionate, patient, and culturally sensitive in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Willing to work in the United Arab Emirates and comply with school policies and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer standardized psychological assessments, diagnostic tests, and behavioral evaluations to determine students’ educational and psychological needs, including eligibility for special education services.
• Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive psychological evaluation reports with appropriate recommendations.
• Provide individual and group counseling or therapy to help students address emotional, behavioral, social, and learning challenges.
• Develop intervention plans and monitor students’ progress, making adjustments as necessary to support positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and parents to implement effective classroom management strategies and foster supportive home and school environments.
• Provide consultation and guidance to school staff regarding student behavior, mental health, and learning needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education or intervention plans where applicable.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date student records in accordance with professional and legal standards.
• Promote student mental health and well-being through preventive programs, workshops, and awareness activities.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, ethical standards, and applicable regulations.
• Perform other related duties assigned by school management.
