Narseys Plastic Industries Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Flexographic Printer/Operator to operate and maintain flexographic printing presses used in the production of plastic packaging materials and narrow web labels. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality, multi-color printed materials, preparing inks, handling various printing substrates, and ensuring accurate color registration and consistent print quality throughout production.

PRINTER FLEXOGRAPHIC / OPERATOR (Plastics and Narrow Web Labels)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, vocational training in printing technology, or completion of an apprenticeship is required.
• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating multi-color flexographic printing presses.
• Proficiency in Pantone and spot colors, ink mixing, viscosity control, and color matching.
• Experience operating spectrophotometers or similar color measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of flexible substrates, including plastic films, foils, and paper.
• Ability to mount printing plates, install anilox rolls, and prepare press components for production.
• Practical skills in routine press maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical or registration issues.
• Ability to identify and resolve web breaks and common printing defects.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to print quality and production efficiency.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, safety procedures, and production schedules.
• Willingness to work in the Fiji Islands and comply with the employer’s requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor flexographic printing presses for multi-color printing on plastic films, foils, paper, and other flexible substrates.
• Set up printing machines according to job specifications, production requirements, and quality standards.
• Prepare, mix, and adjust printing inks to achieve the required Pantone and spot colors.
• Monitor ink viscosity and use spectrophotometers or other color measurement equipment to maintain color accuracy.
• Mount printing plates, install anilox rolls, and prepare printing cylinders and other press components.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain proper color registration, print alignment, and consistent output quality.
• Inspect printed materials for defects, color variations, smudging, misregistration, and other quality issues.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems, registration errors, web breaks, and other printing process interruptions.
• Perform routine press cleaning, maintenance, and equipment checks to ensure reliable operation.
• Monitor production output, minimize material waste, and maintain efficient machine performance.
• Follow workplace safety procedures, ink-handling guidelines, and established production standards.
• Coordinate with production supervisors and quality control personnel to meet production schedules and customer specifications.
