Qualifications:

To qualify for this job you must have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Plasterer
• Experience working on a construction site previously
• Use plastering tools and equipment, as well as handling plastering materials.
• Experience in painting and decorative finishes
• Must have documents to support your visa application (passport, police clearances, employment evidence including reference letters, salary evidences such as pay slips or government contribution records, and school records)
• Work portfolios (photos and/or videos)
• Good English communication skills

Responsibilities:

Some common task that you may have to perform include:

• Understands and applies quality control techniques
• Securing panel mouldings, cornices, ceiling centres and other kinds of plaster fittings.
• Pasting coats of plaster, render and cement using trowels.
• Levelling and smoothing plaster layers.
• Covering and smoothing over nail holes and joins, using plaster, sealing compounds and sandpaper.
• Applying finishing coats and adding decorative effects.
• Applying fireproofing and insulating material.
• Performs incidental work of a trades or non-trades nature to facilitate the completion of the whole task.
• Able to inspect products and/or materials for conformity with established operational standards.
• Performs work under limited supervision either individually or in a team environment.
• Apply workplace health and safety requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry.
• Reads and interpret plans and specifications.
• Erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding.
• Work safely at heights.
