Global Petroprojects Services AG (Saipem) is seeking an experienced Pipeline Technologies Project Manager to lead and coordinate pipeline technology activities for Oil & Gas projects in Sweden. The successful candidate will oversee welding, non-destructive testing (NDT), materials, and corrosion engineering activities while providing technical leadership, ensuring compliance with international industry standards, and supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
PIPELINE TECHNOLOGIES PROJECT MANAGER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong technical background in Welding, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Materials Engineering, or Corrosion Engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of international Oil & Gas standards, including EN, ASME, API, and BS.
- Proven leadership, project coordination, and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Passion for quality, innovation, and continuous improvement in Oil & Gas projects.
- Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and international project environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate welding, non-destructive testing (NDT), materials, and corrosion engineering activities throughout project execution.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead, mentor, train, and develop department personnel to enhance technical capabilities.
- Review, interpret, and implement international industry standards, including EN, ASME, API, and BS codes.
- Monitor project progress, identify technical challenges, and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, safety, and project objectives are achieved.
- Support research, innovation, and the implementation of new pipeline technologies and engineering solutions.
- Conduct competitor analysis and technology benchmarking to identify industry best practices.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates for management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and international Oil & Gas standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the employer.
