Minerva Navis S.R.L is seeking skilled and experienced Pipe Fitters or Ship Pipe Fitters to join its shipbuilding, ship repair, and industrial piping operations in Romania. The successful candidates will install, fit, assemble, and maintain piping systems while accurately measuring, cutting, bending, and aligning pipes according to technical specifications, drawings, and established safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of working experience is required.
• At least high school graduate.
• Experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or industrial piping.
• Knowledge of pipe fitting and installation.
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, bending, fitting, and assembling pipes.
• Ability to install and align pipes, fittings, valves, supports, and related piping components.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, piping layouts, measurements, and installation instructions.
• Familiarity with different types of pipes, fittings, valves, flanges, supports, and piping systems.
• Able to use pipe-fitting tools, measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools safely and correctly.
• Good understanding of proper pipe alignment, fit-up, installation, and support procedures.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and working in shipyard or industrial environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Able to follow safety procedures and work effectively with welders, fitters, fabricators, and other project personnel.
• Responsible, hardworking, reliable, and able to follow technical instructions and supervisor directions.

Responsibilities:

• Install, fit, and assemble pipes and piping systems according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Perform pipe fitting and installation work for shipbuilding, ship repair, and industrial applications.
• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare pipes according to required dimensions and specifications.
• Bend and shape pipes using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Align pipes accurately before final installation, welding, or connection.
• Install pipe fittings, valves, flanges, couplings, supports, brackets, and related components.
• Position and secure piping systems according to technical drawings and installation requirements.
• Read and interpret piping drawings, plans, measurements, and installation instructions.
• Check pipe dimensions, angles, alignment, and positioning to ensure proper installation.
• Prepare pipe ends and surfaces for joining, welding, or connection.
• Work closely with welders, ship fitters, fabricators, engineers, and supervisors during piping installation.
• Inspect installed piping systems for proper fit, alignment, support, and workmanship.
• Identify piping defects, leaks, misalignment, damaged components, or installation issues and report them to the supervisor.
• Make necessary adjustments to pipes and fittings to achieve proper alignment and installation.
• Use hand tools, power tools, pipe-cutting equipment, measuring instruments, and pipe-fitting tools safely.
• Assist with pressure testing, inspection, and commissioning activities when required.
• Handle pipes, fittings, valves, tools, and equipment safely within the work area.
• Follow established shipyard and industrial piping procedures, technical instructions, and quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow occupational health and safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other pipe fitting, piping installation, ship repair, and maintenance duties assigned by management.
