MECHANICAL ENGINEER (OIL & GAS)
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Must have relevant work experience in mechanical engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Must have knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, piping systems, and other industrial mechanical equipment.
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and equipment manuals.
- Must have knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and equipment reliability.
- Must be familiar with applicable engineering standards and oil and gas safety procedures.
- Must have good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design, installation, inspection, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical equipment and systems used in oil and gas facilities.
- Monitor the performance and reliability of pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, piping systems, and other industrial mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, equipment manuals, and related documentation.
- Develop and support preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Investigate mechanical failures, conduct troubleshooting, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Participate in equipment inspections, condition assessments, and reliability improvement activities.
- Ensure mechanical engineering activities comply with applicable engineering standards, technical requirements, and oil and gas safety procedures.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support project execution, maintenance activities, and operational requirements.
- Prepare technical reports and maintenance documentation as required.
