MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or College Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or a similar field.
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering graduate preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance procedures and equipment repair.
- Familiarity with motors, electrical control systems, machinery components, sensors, switches, wiring, and related equipment.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Good understanding of workplace safety regulations, electrical safety, and maintenance guidelines.
- Ability to use basic electrical and mechanical testing instruments and maintenance tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify equipment problems accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on maintenance and repair work in a manufacturing environment.
- Reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and willing to follow company procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment used in manufacturing operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, electrical systems, and mechanical components to identify potential problems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules and procedures.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, control panels, switches, sensors, wiring, and other electrical components.
- Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical components such as bearings, belts, gears, shafts, pumps, pneumatic systems, and other machinery parts.
- Use appropriate testing instruments, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to identify equipment faults.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and mechanical drawings.
- Diagnose the root causes of equipment breakdowns and implement appropriate repair or corrective measures.
- Replace defective, damaged, or worn mechanical and electrical components.
- Assist with equipment installation, assembly, alignment, testing, commissioning, and adjustments.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify conditions that may result in breakdowns or production interruptions.
- Perform routine lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, and servicing of mechanical equipment.
- Conduct electrical testing and measurements using appropriate electrical test instruments.
- Ensure repaired equipment is properly tested and safe to return to production.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, replacement parts, and equipment issues.
- Coordinate with production operators and supervisors regarding equipment problems and maintenance requirements.
- Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and maintenance personnel to resolve complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.
- Follow company maintenance procedures, safety regulations, electrical safety practices, and workplace guidelines.
- Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing maintenance and repair activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving equipment reliability, efficiency, and reducing downtime.
- Perform other mechanical, electrical, and maintenance duties assigned by management.
