MALE BARBER

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are required for the position.
• Proven experience as a Barber or Hairdresser is preferred.
• Specialization or demonstrated experience in children’s haircuts is highly preferred.
• Skilled in using scissors, hair clippers, trimmers, combs, brushes, and other barbering tools.
• Ability to perform clean, precise, and age-appropriate children’s hairstyles.
• Good understanding of barbering hygiene, sanitation, and equipment disinfection.
• Patient, friendly, gentle, and comfortable working with children.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with children and their parents or guardians.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods while performing barbering services.
• Reliable, hardworking, professional, and customer-focused.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional haircuts and grooming services for children according to their preferred styles and parents’ requests.
• Consult with parents or guardians to understand the child’s desired haircut, length, and style.
• Perform age-appropriate haircuts using scissors, clippers, trimmers, and other barbering tools.
• Create neat, clean, and well-finished hairstyles suitable for children.
• Ensure children remain comfortable and safe throughout the haircut and grooming process.
• Use appropriate techniques when working with young or nervous children.
• Maintain clean and sanitized barbering tools, including scissors, combs, clippers, trimmers, and brushes.
• Clean and disinfect the barber chair, workstation, and equipment between clients.
• Maintain proper hygiene and sanitation standards throughout the shop.
• Recommend suitable hairstyles and grooming options based on the child’s hair type, age, and preferences.
• Handle barbering equipment safely and properly to prevent injury or discomfort.
• Maintain an organized and welcoming workstation and customer area.
• Provide friendly, patient, and courteous customer service to children and their parents or guardians.
• Monitor supplies and report shortages or damaged equipment to management.
• Follow salon/shop policies, health and safety procedures, and hygiene standards.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
• Perform other barbering and grooming duties assigned by management.
