KITCHEN FURNITURE CARPENTER

Qualifications:

• Male Applicants Preferred
• Minimum of 2 years work experience

Job Description:

• Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Reading blueprints, designs & specifications prepared by other construction professionals, interior designers, architects & building code recommendations.
• Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
• Understand & store instruction information such as the different procedures to assemble the different parts of furniture.
  Bind wooden materials together using a variety of techniques & materials. Determine the optimal technique to join the elements, like stapling, nail,
  gluing or screwing.
  Determine the correct work/installation order to make the item.
  Knows & operates what proper hand or power tools that will be used to install each item properly.
  Ensure that the assembled products conform to the specifications given.
  Operate a range of drilling equipment, pneumatic as well as electrical & mechanical, tend drilling equipment, monitor & operate it, according to regulations.
• Safely & efficiently drill holes using the correct equipment, settings, & drill bits.
• Follow written directions in order to perform a task or carry out a step-by-step procedure.
• Align & lay out components in order to put them together correctly according to blueprints & technical plans.
