The Philippine International School-Qatar (PISQ) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior Science High School Teacher to deliver engaging and effective science instruction to junior high school students. The successful candidate will foster scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and academic excellence while creating a positive and supportive learning environment aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.

JUNIOR SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) with a Major in Science.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience in Science at the secondary or junior high school level.
• Strong knowledge of science concepts, laboratory practices, and modern teaching methodologies.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prepare effective lesson plans and student assessments.
• Proficient in using educational technology and digital learning tools.
• Passionate about teaching and committed to student academic success.
• Able to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons for junior high school students.
• Teach core science subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Science, as required by the curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, laboratory activities, and assessments that promote active learning.
• Conduct classroom discussions, demonstrations, and practical laboratory experiments while ensuring student safety.
• Evaluate student performance through quizzes, examinations, laboratory reports, projects, and classroom participation.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely academic support and constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, attendance, and academic reports.
• Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
• Encourage critical thinking, scientific inquiry, problem-solving, and collaboration among students.
• Communicate regularly with parents and school administrators regarding student progress and academic concerns.
• Participate in faculty meetings, school activities, professional development programs, and extracurricular events.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, curriculum standards, and child safeguarding guidelines.
• Perform other teaching and school-related duties assigned by the school administration.
