Economic Contracting Center Co. is seeking a skilled and technically capable Junior Electrical Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems installed on heavy equipment, diesel trucks, and commercial vehicles in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate should have hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, ECU/ECM, CAN Bus technology, and professional diagnostic tools, with a strong focus on accurate fault identification and equipment reliability.
Junior Electrical Technician
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Electrical, Auto Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with heavy equipment, trucks, and commercial vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of ECU/ECM and CAN Bus systems.
- Experience working with CAT, Volvo, Hitachi, Actros, MAN, and Sino Truck is preferred.
- Proficiency in professional diagnostic tools, including Cat ET, Jaltest, and Tech Tool.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring, sensors, control modules, starting systems, charging systems, and batteries.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and repair instructions.
- Knowledge of electrical special tools and testing equipment.
- Good understanding of battery consumption and cost-reduction techniques.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office applications.
- Familiarity with automation and electronic control systems is an advantage.
- Good English communication skills required.
- GCC experience is preferred.
- Valid driving license is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately diagnose electrical and electronic faults.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on electrical work in a busy workshop environment.
- Able to work independently and as part of a technical team.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, safety awareness, and willingness to continuously develop technical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic systems on heavy equipment, diesel trucks, and commercial vehicles.
- Perform electrical inspections to identify wiring faults, damaged components, communication errors, and other electrical problems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot ECU/ECM systems and electronic control components.
- Test and troubleshoot CAN Bus communication systems and identify communication-related faults.
- Use appropriate diagnostic equipment to retrieve, interpret, and clear fault codes.
- Perform electrical testing using multimeters, electrical testing instruments, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Use professional diagnostic tools such as Cat ET, Jaltest, and Tech Tool to identify equipment faults.
- Diagnose and repair electrical wiring, connectors, sensors, switches, relays, actuators, and control modules.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle batteries, charging systems, starting systems, alternators, and related electrical components.
- Investigate abnormal battery consumption and assist in implementing techniques to reduce unnecessary battery-related costs.
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled electrical inspections on heavy equipment and commercial vehicles.
- Assist in the installation, replacement, calibration, and testing of electrical and electronic components.
- Conduct functional tests after electrical repairs to confirm proper system operation.
- Work with equipment from manufacturers such as CAT, Volvo, Hitachi, Actros, MAN, and Sino Truck.
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and manufacturer repair instructions.
- Use electrical special tools and equipment correctly and safely.
- Maintain accurate records of diagnostic findings, repairs, replaced components, fault codes, and maintenance activities.
- Update maintenance information and work orders through ERP systems when required.
- Use MS Office applications for maintenance reports, records, documentation, and other administrative tasks.
- Assist senior technicians in complex electrical and electronic troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Coordinate with mechanical technicians and equipment operators to identify and resolve equipment problems.
- Follow manufacturer specifications, workshop procedures, and technical instructions during repair and maintenance work.
- Maintain electrical tools, diagnostic equipment, and work areas in clean and organized condition.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and properly handle electrical components, batteries, and related materials.
- Assist in troubleshooting or maintaining automation and electronic control systems when required.
- Perform other electrical, electronic, diagnostic, and maintenance duties as assigned by management.
