Turra Holdings Ltd is seeking an experienced Insulator/Rigger Lead to supervise and coordinate insulation and rigging operations. The ideal candidate will lead a team, ensure adherence to safety standards, maintain high-quality work, and support smooth project execution.
Insulator/Rigger Lead
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Insulator/Rigger Lead.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Proven experience in both insulation and rigging, including materials, techniques, and equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Strong commitment to safety and strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Physically fit and well-presented, capable of performing demanding tasks.
- Relevant certifications related to insulation, rigging, or safety (e.g., OSHA, asbestos handling) are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of insulators and riggers, providing guidance to ensure work is performed safely and effectively.
- Apply expertise in insulation materials and techniques, including removing old insulation, measuring, cutting, and installing new insulation properly.
- Coordinate and execute rigging operations, selecting appropriate equipment, ensuring loads are within safe limits, and guiding loads during movement.
- Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety checks, and address hazards promptly.
- Monitor work quality to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards; document non-conformances.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability and proper maintenance.
- Prepare reports, maintain records, and document work progress, including any deviations from plans.
- Collaborate with other trades, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify and resolve operational issues or challenges efficiently to minimize workflow disruptions.
- Mentor and train less experienced team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including work at heights and in confined spaces, as required.
