FLIDR METAL s.r.o. is seeking a technically skilled Injection Molding Machine Setter to join its manufacturing team in the Czech Republic. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and adjusting injection molding machines and 3-axis robots, interpreting technical drawings, monitoring the injection molding process, and using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate and consistent production.
Injection Molding Machine Setter
Qualifications:
- Male applicants, 25–40 years old.
- Technical education or vocational education/training.
- Previous experience or knowledge in injection molding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of injection molding machine operation, setup, and basic process parameters.
- Experience setting up CNC injection molding machines is an advantage.
- Ability to set up and adjust 3-axis (X, Y, Z) robots used in manufacturing or injection molding.
- Ability to use basic precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and height measurement tools.
- Good understanding of dimensional measurements and production tolerances.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic machine and process issues.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, production procedures, and safety requirements.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
- Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, disciplined, and willing to learn and adapt to new machines and production processes.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare injection molding machines for production according to technical specifications and production requirements.
- Set and adjust injection molding machine parameters to achieve the required product quality and dimensions.
- Set up, operate, and adjust 3-axis (X, Y, Z) robots used in the injection molding process.
- Install and properly position molds, tooling, and related production equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, production specifications, and machine documentation.
- Check mold and machine settings before starting production runs.
- Monitor the injection molding process and make necessary adjustments to maintain stable production.
- Inspect finished and semi-finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Perform basic measurements using calipers, micrometers, and height measurement tools.
- Verify product dimensions and identify deviations from technical drawings or required tolerances.
- Assist with troubleshooting machine, mold, robot, and process-related issues.
- Make appropriate machine adjustments to correct quality or production problems.
- Conduct test runs after machine or mold setup and verify product quality before full production.
- Monitor machine operation during production and report abnormalities or equipment problems to the appropriate supervisor or technician.
- Maintain proper records of machine settings, production parameters, measurements, and quality checks when required.
- Follow established production procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.
- Keep machines, molds, tools, and work areas clean and properly organized.
- Handle molds, tooling, and production materials safely and carefully.
- Work closely with production operators, technicians, quality personnel, and supervisors to maintain efficient production.
- Minimize production defects, downtime, and material waste through accurate machine setup and process monitoring.
- Perform other machine-setting, injection molding, and manufacturing-related duties assigned by management.
