HOTEL MAINTENANCE/TECHNICAL STAFF

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience.
• At least High School Graduate.
• Experience in the hotel industry is highly desirable.
• Training certificate is highly desirable but not required.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations and the assigned area of deployment.
• Proven technical knowledge and practical skills for maintenance and technical positions.
• Basic to good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on hotel facilities, fixtures, and equipment.
• Ability to safely use common maintenance hand tools, power tools, and basic testing equipment.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on maintenance work.
  Strong attention to detail and awareness of workplace safety.
• Ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational emergencies.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and able to follow instructions and hotel procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, guest rooms, equipment, and common areas.
• Identify maintenance issues, defects, damage, and potential safety hazards.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on hotel facilities, systems, and equipment.
• Carry out minor repairs involving electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and other hotel systems.
• Repair, replace, or adjust damaged or defective fixtures, furniture, lighting, fittings, and hotel equipment.
• Inspect and maintain electrical fixtures, switches, outlets, lighting systems, and other basic electrical components.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs involving faucets, pipes, drains, toilets, water fixtures, and related systems.
• Assist in the inspection and basic maintenance of air-conditioning and ventilation systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel departments and guests.
• Troubleshoot common facility and equipment problems and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and maintenance materials safely.
• Assist with installation, replacement, adjustment, and repair of hotel fixtures and equipment.
• Maintain hotel facilities and technical areas in clean, safe, and functional condition.
• Conduct regular checks of rooms and common areas to ensure facilities are operating properly.
• Report major technical faults, equipment breakdowns, and repair requirements to the supervisor or management.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and replacement parts as required.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, front office, food and beverage, and other hotel departments regarding maintenance concerns.
• Assist external contractors and specialized technicians during major repair and maintenance activities when required.
• Follow hotel maintenance procedures, workplace safety requirements, and proper handling procedures for tools and equipment.
• Help ensure hotel facilities comply with applicable safety and operational standards.
• Maintain adequate supplies of commonly used maintenance tools and materials and report shortages when necessary.
• Perform other maintenance, repair, and technical duties assigned by hotel management.
