Marshall Islands for Pacific International Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Grader Operator for an overseas work opportunity in the Marshall Islands. The successful candidate will operate and maintain motor graders used in construction, roadwork, site preparation, and earthmoving activities.
GRADER OPERATOR
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a motor grader in construction, roadwork, earthmoving, or related projects.
- Good knowledge of grader controls, blade operation, leveling, and grading techniques.
- Ability to read and follow basic site plans, grading instructions, and measurements.
- Experience in road construction and site development is an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic heavy equipment inspection and maintenance.
- Strong awareness of construction site safety procedures.
- Physically fit and capable of working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Good coordination and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a construction team.
- Responsible, reliable, and safety-conscious.
Responsibilities:
- Operate motor graders to level, smooth, shape, and grade soil, gravel, and other materials.
- Perform road construction, maintenance, and site preparation activities.
- Grade surfaces according to project plans, measurements, elevations, and specifications.
- Adjust the grader blade and machine controls to achieve the required slope, depth, and level.
- Perform fine grading and finishing work for roads, foundations, drainage systems, and construction sites.
- Inspect the grader before and after operation to identify mechanical problems or safety issues.
- Conduct basic equipment maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication as required.
- Report equipment defects, breakdowns, and maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, surveyors, truck drivers, and other heavy equipment operators.
- Follow construction plans, site instructions, and work schedules.
- Maintain safe operating distances from workers, vehicles, structures, and other equipment.
- Observe all company safety procedures and construction site regulations.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other heavy equipment operation duties as assigned.
