The Russell Inn is seeking experienced and customer-oriented Food Servers to join its hospitality team in Canada. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing efficient and courteous food and beverage service, taking customer orders, serving meals and drinks, maintaining clean dining areas, and ensuring a positive guest experience. Previous experience in a well-known coffee shop, café, or fast-food establishment is required.

Food Server

Qualifications:

• Must have at least three (3) years of relevant experience in the same field.
• Must be a graduate of a two (2)- to four (4)-year vocational or college course.
• Must have good English communication skills.
• Must have previous experience working in a well-known coffee shop, café, or fast-food establishment.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of proper food and beverage service procedures.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, kitchen staff, supervisors, and other team members.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant, café, coffee shop, or food service environment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to accurately take and serve customer orders.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
• Professional, courteous, presentable, hardworking, and service-oriented.
• Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, carrying trays, and performing service duties for extended periods.
• Reliable, organized, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide courteous, professional, and attentive service.
• Present menus, explain available food and beverage options, and assist customers with their selections.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them promptly to the kitchen or beverage station.
• Serve food and beverages according to established service and presentation standards.
• Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and properly presented before serving customers.
• Monitor tables and respond promptly to customer requests and additional service needs.
• Check on customers during meals to ensure satisfaction and address concerns professionally.
• Clear and clean tables promptly after customers finish their meals.
• Set and reset tables with appropriate plates, cutlery, glasses, napkins, and other service items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, counters, and other assigned areas.
• Assist with preparing dining and service areas before opening and after closing.
• Handle food and beverages safely and follow established hygiene and sanitation procedures.
• Coordinate closely with kitchen staff, line cooks, cashiers, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
• Process customer bills and payments accurately when assigned.
• Assist with takeaway and fast-food orders, including proper packaging and checking of items.
• Replenish condiments, napkins, utensils, beverages, and other service supplies as needed.
• Report customer concerns, damaged equipment, shortages, or other operational issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain professional grooming, personal hygiene, and a courteous attitude at all times.
• Follow company policies, food safety regulations, service procedures, and workplace safety standards.
• Perform other food service and hospitality duties assigned by management.
