FOOD PREPARATION ASSISTANT
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Food and Beverage
- Preparation/Service Management; Hospitality/Tourism Management or similar fields.
- Previous hotel experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation, kitchen operations, and sanitation procedures.
- Able to follow recipes, instructions, and portioning standards accurately.
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Hardworking, reliable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare vegetables, meats, and other ingredients by chopping, slicing, portioning, and assembling dishes according to recipes and chef instructions.
- Prepare and arrange basic dishes, salads, and buffet platters for service.
- Set up kitchen workstations with the required tools, equipment, and ingredients before food preparation begins.
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with daily food preparation and service activities.
- Clean and sanitize utensils, cutting boards, kitchen equipment, and work surfaces.
- Properly dispose of food waste and maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures at all times.
