Qualifications:

To apply you must have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Fitter & Turner
• Experience in manufacturing food production equipment highly regarded
• Experience manufacturing food or meat equipment such as meat mincers, hydraulic sausage fillers/stuffers, mincer mixers/mixer mincers, chopping block, preparation table for butcher and commercial kitchen applications
• Documents to support your visa application (passport, police clearances, employment evidences including reference letters, salary evidences such as pay slips or government contribution records, and school records)
• Work portfolios (photos and/or videos)
• Good English communication skills

Job Description:

Common tasks that you may have to perform include:

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to understand the requirements of the job
• Selecting and using appropriate hand and power tools to shape, cut, and finish materials to precise measurements and specifications
• Using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machine tools to create or modify parts and components
• Assembling and fitting parts and components together using various fastening techniques such as welding, bolting, and soldering
• Testing finished products and systems to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical problems and making repairs as necessary
• Maintaining and servicing machines and equipment to ensure they are in good working order
• Collaborating with other tradespeople, engineers, and project managers to plan and execute projects
