FITTER MACHINIST

Qualifications:

• Must have experience in crusher used in Mining and/or Quarrying industries
• Skilled in operation of manual lathes, milling and other machine tools to shape and machine metal components, such as shafts, bushings, and gears
• Skilled in operating a range of machine tools and equipment to produce components for machinery, equipment
• May work on a variety of tasks, including turning, milling, grinding, drilling, and threading

Job Responsibilities:

Common tasks that you may have to perform include:

• Install and align machinery and mechanical systems according to specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in machinery.
• Interpret and follow engineering drawings and blueprints for accurate assembly.
• Operate machining tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to fabricate components with precision.
• Align and calibrate mechanical components to ensure optimal performance.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and engineering teams to achieve project goals.
