Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE Chungli Branch) is seeking skilled Equipment Technicians to support semiconductor manufacturing operations in Taiwan. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of semiconductor production equipment and Final Test (FT) systems. This role is critical in ensuring maximum equipment uptime, production efficiency, and product quality in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in semiconductor production processes and be knowledgeable in maintaining and troubleshooting Final Test equipment, including Advantest and Teradyne testers, as well as various FT handlers.
EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing company is required.
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following semiconductor process stations:
- Die Bond
- Grinding
- Heat Sink
- Flip Chip / Underfill
- Wafer Saw / Singulation
- Mold
- Laser Mark
- Open/Short Testing
- SBBP (Solder Ball Ball Placement / Ball Mount)
- Proven experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Final Test (FT) equipment, including semiconductor testers and handlers.
- Experience working with Advantest and Teradyne testing platforms is required.
Handler Experience:
Candidates should have experience with one or more of the following FT handlers:
- Hontech HT7045
- Hontech HT9045
- Hontech HT9046
- Hontech HT1028
- EPSON 6040
- COHU Matrix
- SRM Handler
Tester Experience:
Experience with one or more of the following semiconductor testers is preferred:
- Advantest PS1600
- Advantest HP93K (V93000)
- Teradyne J750
- Teradyne UFLEX
- Teradyne IFLEX
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and automated production systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and equipment schematic diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and support shifting production schedules when required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues to minimize equipment downtime.
- Repair, calibrate, and maintain Final Test (FT) equipment, testers, and handlers to ensure reliable operation.
- Monitor equipment performance and conduct routine inspections to identify potential failures before they occur.
- Assist in equipment installation, setup, qualification, and commissioning activities.
- Support engineering teams during equipment upgrades, process improvements, and new product introductions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history logs, and service reports.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), preventive maintenance schedules, and equipment specifications.
- Ensure compliance with cleanroom protocols, quality standards, and workplace safety regulations.
- Coordinate with production, process engineering, and quality teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
- Perform other maintenance and technical duties assigned by supervisors.
