ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR (HSSE)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder.
- Strong knowledge of electrical equipment installation, testing, and pre-commissioning.
- Experience with electrical equipment such as motors, transformers, and switchgear.
- Knowledge of electrical systems operating at different voltage levels, including high-voltage equipment.
- Good understanding of electrical installation inspection procedures and quality requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical project specifications, drawings, and inspection documents.
- Understanding of project specifications and drawings related to electrical inspection.
- Understanding of quality requirements in ITB (Invitation to Bid) documentation.
- Knowledge of electrical testing and pre-commissioning requirements.
- Ability to identify electrical installation defects, non-conformities, and workmanship issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
- Good understanding of HSSE requirements and safe working practices for electrical activities.
- Ability to review inspection documentation, maintain accurate records, and prepare clear reports.
- Good communication and coordination skills when working with contractors, engineers, QA/QC personnel, and project management.
- Ability to work independently, conduct field inspections, and provide accurate technical observations.
- Familiarity with applicable electrical standards, project procedures, and quality control practices is an advantage.
- Reliable, organized, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect electrical installation activities to ensure compliance with approved project specifications, drawings, standards, and quality requirements.
- Monitor the installation of electrical equipment, including motors, transformers, switchgear, and related electrical systems.
- Inspect electrical equipment and installations covering different voltage levels, including high-voltage systems.
- Verify that electrical installation work is performed according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and inspection procedures.
- Conduct inspections during electrical installation, testing, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Review electrical drawings and project documents to determine applicable inspection requirements.
- Check equipment installation, positioning, alignment, connections, termination, and workmanship.
- Witness or monitor electrical testing and pre-commissioning activities as required by the approved inspection and test procedures.
- Verify that testing equipment, procedures, and results comply with applicable project and quality requirements.
- Identify defective, incomplete, or non-compliant electrical work and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
- Prepare and maintain electrical inspection reports, checklists, inspection records, and other quality documentation.
- Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection procedures, and related quality requirements applicable to electrical works.
- Ensure electrical inspection activities comply with project ITB (Invitation to Bid) quality requirements and contractual specifications.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers, contractors, supervisors, QA/QC personnel, and other project teams regarding inspection activities.
- Monitor corrective actions and verify that identified electrical deficiencies are properly rectified.
- Maintain proper documentation and traceability of inspections, testing activities, equipment, and completed electrical works.
- Assist in ensuring that electrical systems are ready for pre-commissioning and subsequent commissioning activities.
- Report significant electrical quality issues, safety concerns, and non-compliance to the appropriate supervisor or project management.
- Support HSSE objectives by ensuring electrical activities are performed in accordance with applicable health, safety, security, and environmental requirements.
- Ensure appropriate safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) are observed during electrical inspection activities.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail when inspecting electrical installations and equipment.
- Perform other electrical inspection, quality control, and HSSE-related duties assigned by management.
