Diesel (Bus) Mechanic
Qualifications:
- Must have at least five (5) to ten (10) years of verifiable work experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably specializing in bus maintenance and repair.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have good English communication skills.
- Must have practical knowledge of diesel engines and bus mechanical systems.
- Must be capable of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical faults.
- Must be familiar with preventive maintenance procedures and workshop safety practices.
- Must be physically capable of performing mechanical inspection, servicing, and repair tasks.
- Must demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of diesel-powered buses.
- Inspect bus engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other mechanical components.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and identify the appropriate repair procedures.
- Repair, replace, and maintain defective or worn-out parts.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to help ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Perform mechanical inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment when servicing and repairing buses.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and established maintenance standards.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with other mechanics and workshop personnel to complete repair tasks efficiently.
