Dental Hygienist

Qualifications:

• Must have the appropriate Dental Hygienist qualification, professional license, or certification required for practice in the applicant’s country and Kuwait, as applicable.
• Relevant experience in dental clinics, hospitals, specialized dental centers, or healthcare facilities is an advantage.
• Must have practical knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, preventive oral care, and infection control.
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be patient-oriented, professional, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with dentists and other dental staff.
• Must be knowledgeable about proper sterilization, sanitation, and handling of dental instruments.
• Must be willing to comply with Kuwait’s applicable professional licensing and employment requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including oral cleaning, scaling, polishing, and preventive care as permitted by professional scope of practice.
• Assess patients’ oral health and identify signs of plaque, tartar, gum disease, and other oral health concerns.
• Provide patients with education and guidance on proper brushing, flossing, oral hygiene, and preventive dental care.
• Assist dentists and other dental professionals during examinations and treatment procedures when required.
• Take and maintain accurate patient dental and treatment records.
• Prepare dental instruments, equipment, treatment rooms, and supplies before and after procedures.
• Follow proper infection control, sterilization, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Provide appropriate preventive oral care and recommendations based on patients’ individual needs.
• Monitor patients during dental hygiene procedures and report unusual findings or concerns to the dentist.
• Maintain dental instruments and equipment in clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow clinic policies and professional standards.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with patients and members of the dental care team.
• Perform other dental hygiene and clinic-related duties as assigned.
