Thomas Mining SARL is seeking an experienced Cook to prepare high-quality meals for employees and company events in Congo. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing large-volume meals, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food service operations.

Qualifications:

• Male, 25–35 years old.
• Minimum height of 170 cm (5’7″).
• Experience in International or Asian cuisine is an advantage.
• Experience preparing meals for large groups in restaurants, hotels, catering services, industrial kitchens, or staff camps is preferred.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, food preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle large-volume meal production.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible schedules when required.
• Willing to work in Congo and comply with company policies, food safety regulations, and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals in large quantities while maintaining consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
• Perform a variety of cooking techniques, including grilling, frying, baking, boiling, roasting, and steaming.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, measuring, marinating, and portioning food items.
• Work closely with Sous Chefs, kitchen helpers, and other kitchen personnel to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Assist in planning menus, daily specials, and catering requirements for company functions and special events.
• Monitor food quality and ensure meals meet company standards and customer expectations.
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and stock rotation using First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace health regulations.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, food preparation areas, and workstations.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages of ingredients, supplies, and kitchen materials.
• Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
• Perform other food preparation and kitchen duties as assigned.
