CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in contract administration, claims, project controls, or a related engineering/construction field.
- Bachelor’s or College Degree in Engineering (Others) or a similar engineering/construction-related field.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Proven experience in contract administration and claims management.
- Strong knowledge of contract correspondence and document administration.
- Experience in schedule management and project progress monitoring.
- Ability to prepare accurate weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Strong understanding of engineering and construction project documentation and contractual procedures.
- Ability to review contract requirements, identify contractual obligations, and monitor compliance.
- Experience preparing and managing claims, variations, notices, and other contractual submissions.
- Strong organizational and document-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate contractual records.
- Good communication and coordination skills when dealing with clients, contractors, consultants, and project teams.
- Ability to work under project deadlines and manage multiple contractual matters simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with Saudi clients, including Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), Saudi Energy, Saudi Aramco, SWPC, or similar organizations, is required/preferred.
- Proficient in preparing professional contractual correspondence, reports, and project documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Administer engineering and construction contracts in accordance with contractual requirements and project procedures.
- Review contract documents, specifications, scope of work, schedules, and commercial requirements.
- Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, milestones, and deadlines.
- Prepare, review, and maintain contract-related correspondence and documentation.
- Manage formal communications between the company, clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and maintain contract registers, correspondence logs, notices, and other contract administration records.
- Monitor contractual changes, variations, extensions of time, and other commercial matters.
- Assist in the preparation, submission, evaluation, and follow-up of contractual claims.
- Review supporting documentation for claims and assess contractual entitlement where required.
- Track claims, notices, variations, and outstanding contractual actions through to resolution.
- Monitor project schedules and coordinate with planning and project teams regarding contractual milestones.
- Review schedule updates and identify potential delays, slippages, and impacts on contractual obligations.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and project stakeholders.
- Collect and consolidate progress information from engineering, construction, procurement, and other project departments.
- Compare actual progress against approved schedules, milestones, and planned targets.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, contractual events, delays, and supporting documentation.
- Assist project management in identifying contractual risks and potential areas of dispute.
- Ensure that contractual notices and submissions are prepared and issued within required timeframes.
- Coordinate with project engineers, planners, quantity surveyors, document controllers, and other departments on contract matters.
- Maintain organized and traceable contract files and ensure proper document control.
- Support meetings with clients and project stakeholders and prepare or assist with meeting records and action items.
- Ensure that contractual and project documentation is complete, accurate, properly reviewed, and readily accessible.
- Perform other contract administration, claims, reporting, and project support duties as assigned by management.
