Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Commis 2 or in a similar kitchen position.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Must have experience in the same field or hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques, kitchen procedures, and ingredient handling.
• Familiarity with food storage practices, FIFO procedures, and sanitation requirements.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established kitchen standards.
• Hardworking, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare basic food items and perform mise en place activities, including chopping, portioning, mixing, and preparing ingredients according to recipes.
• Cook assigned dishes while following exact recipe standards, portion requirements, and plating instructions.
• Assist senior chefs with daily kitchen operations and ensure timely preparation of food items.
• Support food stock monitoring, organize kitchen storerooms, and assist in transporting deliveries from the provision area to assigned kitchen sections.
• Follow instructions carefully to maintain consistency, reduce food waste, and support efficient kitchen workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation before, during, and after service.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas.
• Ensure proper food storage procedures are followed, including FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation practices.
• Assist with inventory checks and report shortages or quality issues to supervisors.
• Comply with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
