Chief Accountant

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent certification
  • Bachelor Of Science In Accountancy or equivalent degree
  • At least 10 years accounting experience and having taken and senior accounting position.
  • Preferably with audit experience
  • Ex-overseas employee/oil & gas employee a plus
  • Preferably with Oracle/SAP System experience
  • Strong analytical abilities, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal control and accounting knowledge, alongside excellent communication, leadership potential, attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, and proficiency with excel and finance software to support strategic planning and daily operations while ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Financial Controller in all Accounting Department’s activities, procedures and policies.
  • Supervise and assist in preparation of financial statements.
  • Review/assist preparation of pertinent accounting journal entries.
  • Review/assist preparation of pertinent accounts analysis (BSN).
  • Review and ensure proper and timely preparation of billings to client(s), other third parties and affiliates.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants for all audit and tax related matters with KTA.
  • Interaction with Department colleagues for solving accounting problems, improvements in systems/procedures, implementing time saving techniques by assisting in preparation of automated system shortcuts/worksheets, etc.
  • Write procedures/set up organization for betterment of Department including the training of Accounting personnel.
  • Ad hoc tasks that may be assigned by the Financial Controller from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
  • Employment certificates
  • NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
  • PEOS certificate
