CENTRAL KITCHEN MANAGER
Qualifications:
- Open to Male and Female applicants.
- Must be 25–39 years old.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in kitchen operations, food production, catering, or a similar supervisory role.
- Must not be an ex-Kuwait worker.
- Proven ability to supervise and coordinate kitchen staff in a central kitchen or professional food production environment.
- Good knowledge of food preparation, kitchen production, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to manage daily kitchen production and ensure timely completion of food orders.
- Strong understanding of food quality, portion control, inventory management, and waste reduction.
- Ability to train, guide, and motivate kitchen personnel.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced professional kitchen environment.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a demanding kitchen environment.
- Reliable, disciplined, responsible, and committed to maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the central kitchen and ensure smooth and efficient food production.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during food preparation, production, and service activities.
- Plan and organize daily kitchen production according to menus, orders, schedules, and operational requirements.
- Ensure food is prepared according to established recipes, portion standards, quality requirements, and company procedures.
- Monitor the quality, freshness, taste, presentation, and consistency of food products.
- Ensure proper mise en place and timely completion of food preparation activities.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to kitchen personnel and monitor their performance.
- Train and guide kitchen staff on food preparation methods, equipment operation, hygiene, sanitation, and safe working practices.
- Monitor food handling, cooking, cooling, storage, and preparation procedures to maintain food safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels of food ingredients, packaging materials, cleaning supplies, and other kitchen consumables.
- Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to ensure adequate availability of required ingredients and supplies.
- Inspect incoming food and materials for quality, freshness, quantity, and proper storage requirements.
- Minimize food waste through proper portion control, storage, production planning, and ingredient utilization.
- Monitor the proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of kitchen equipment, utensils, and machinery.
- Report equipment breakdowns, maintenance requirements, food safety concerns, and operational issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of food preparation areas, storage rooms, equipment, and other kitchen facilities.
- Coordinate production schedules with delivery, catering, service, and other operational teams.
- Ensure food orders and production requirements are completed accurately and within scheduled deadlines.
- Monitor staff attendance, work assignments, productivity, and compliance with kitchen procedures.
- Maintain accurate records related to production, inventory, waste, staff activities, and other kitchen operations.
- Implement corrective actions when quality, safety, hygiene, or productivity standards are not met.
- Assist management in improving kitchen processes, productivity, cost control, and overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure professional teamwork and effective communication among kitchen staff and other departments.
- Perform other kitchen management and operational duties as assigned.
