Caregiver / Midwife

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Others or similar fields.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.
• Physically strong and capable of lifting, supporting, and assisting clients with mobility and transfers.
• Patient, compassionate, empathetic, and respectful when caring for clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and diapering.
• Ability to assist clients with walking, transfers, wheelchair mobility, and light physical therapy activities.
• Knowledge of basic personal-care, hygiene, feeding, and client-support practices.
• Ability to prepare balanced meals or specialized formulas and assist clients with feeding.
• Able to work with clients who may have limited mobility or require regular personal assistance.
• Good observation skills and ability to recognize and report changes in a client’s condition.
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing demanding caregiving duties.
• Responsible, reliable, hardworking, and able to follow care instructions carefully.
• Willing to work closely with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers.
• Committed to maintaining the safety, dignity, comfort, and well-being of clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and attentive care to clients according to their individual needs and care requirements.
• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, and other daily activities.
• Assist clients with toileting, diapering, changing, and maintaining personal cleanliness.
• Help clients walk, transfer safely between beds, chairs, wheelchairs, and other locations.
• Provide physical support to clients with limited mobility or physical strength.
• Assist with prescribed or appropriate light physical therapy and mobility exercises as required.
• Prepare balanced meals, special diets, or specialized formulas according to the client’s dietary requirements and instructions.
• Assist clients with feeding and ensure proper and safe food intake.
• Monitor clients during meals and provide assistance when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and hygienic environment for clients.
• Assist with changing bed linens, organizing personal belongings, and maintaining the client’s immediate surroundings.
• Observe and report changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior, appetite, mobility, or general well-being to the appropriate person.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients while maintaining respect for their privacy and dignity.
• Encourage clients to participate in appropriate daily activities and maintain independence where possible.
• Follow established care instructions, schedules, hygiene procedures, and safety practices.
• Use proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques when assisting or transferring clients.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect the personal information and privacy of clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, healthcare personnel, and supervisors.
• Assist healthcare professionals or family members with basic client-care activities when required.
• Maintain proper cleanliness and sanitation of caregiving equipment and client-care areas.
• Ensure that necessary personal-care supplies, feeding materials, and other client-care items are available.
• Respond appropriately to client needs and report emergencies or urgent concerns promptly.
• Maintain patience, empathy, professionalism, and a positive attitude when dealing with clients.
• Perform other caregiving and client-support duties assigned by the employer or supervisor.
