CAREGIVER / CAREWORKER
Qualifications:
- Female applicants only.
- Applicants must meet the requirements of the applicable caregiving employment program in Japan.
- Applicants who previously completed technical training in another field must pass the Prometric Nursing Care Skills Proficiency Test, as applicable to their SSW application pathway.
- New Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) applicants who are not former technical intern trainees must pass both the Prometric Nursing Care Skills Proficiency Test and the JLPT N4 Japanese-language examination or an accepted equivalent, subject to applicable exemptions.
- Former Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) applicants must have completed a three-year contract as a Care Worker and provide a Certificate of Completion.
- Applicants under the TITP pathway must pass the JFT-Basic or JLPT N4 Japanese-language examination and hold TESDA NC II in Caregiving, as specified in the recruitment requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist care recipients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Support mobility, walking, and safe transfers as needed.
- Assist with meals, hydration, and other daily living needs.
- Observe and report changes in care recipients’ physical condition or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, dignity, and comfort in the care environment.
- Follow workplace procedures, care plans, and applicable health and safety standards.
- Communicate respectfully with care recipients, coworkers, and supervisors.
