Barge Engineer (Port Engineer)

Qualifications:

• Must be a qualified Second Engineer to fit the job.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture.
• Certification: Valid Class II/III COC (Chief or Second Engineer) from a recognized maritime authority
• Required Experience: Minimum of 8 years in marine maintenance and dry-docking, with experience managing mixed-type fleets, including jackup barges and service vessels
• Skills: Proficiency in Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) systems, Class and Statutory Surveys, shipyard coordination, and regulatory compliance.
• Good working knowledge with international maritime regulations including: • SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) • MARPOL (Maritime Pollution
  Prevention) • ISM Code (International Safety Management)
• Other: Preferred experience in offshore or oilfield marine operations
• Has Excellent knowledge of Marine Operations and has operational knowledge and technical skill as well as being able to understand the barge/shore interface
• Oversee barge reliability and safe operations and providing daily operational guideline to direct report and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
• Compliance to class survey (ABS)
