Namerah Industrial Co. is seeking a skilled Air Compressor Technician responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial air compressor systems, with a strong focus on rotary screw air compressors. The successful candidate will ensure equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably while minimizing downtime through preventive and corrective maintenance.
AIR COMPRESSOR TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2–5 years of related work experience as an Air Compressor Technician.
- Specialized in servicing and maintaining rotary screw air compressors.
- Proven experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial air compressors and compressed air systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems associated with air compressors.
- Ability to diagnose equipment faults and perform efficient corrective repairs.
- Familiarity with compressor controllers, pressure systems, filtration systems, cooling systems, and lubrication systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Skilled in using diagnostic instruments, hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service abilities.
- Able to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Physically fit and capable of working in industrial and field service environments.
- Willing to travel to customer sites when required.
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, service, and maintain industrial air compressors and compressed air systems.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on rotary screw air compressors and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults to restore equipment to optimal operating condition.
- Repair or replace defective components such as motors, bearings, valves, filters, belts, seals, air ends, coolers, sensors, and controllers.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, leaks, vibration, overheating, or other potential equipment issues.
- Test and commission repaired or newly installed compressors to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, and equipment drawings.
- Monitor compressor performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, inspection logs, and parts replacement documentation.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations while performing maintenance activities.
- Maintain tools, testing equipment, and service vehicles in good working condition.
- Coordinate with customers, supervisors, and engineering teams to schedule maintenance and resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding proper compressor operation and maintenance.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls and equipment breakdowns.
- Perform other maintenance and technical duties assigned by management.
