Deputy Operations Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Post Graduate Diploma or Master’s Degree holder.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Strong experience in operations management, business administration, or industrial services environments.
- Proven ability to oversee multiple business units and coordinate operational activities.
- Experience in performance monitoring, reporting, and business process improvement.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Experience reviewing tenders, contracts, agreements, and business-related documentation.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in business reporting systems, data analysis, and operational planning.
- Ability to identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
- Capable of managing resources, manpower, facilities, equipment, and technology requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle conflict resolution and operational challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day business functions of VGE Business Divisions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Ensure operational activities meet customer requirements and company expectations.
- Liaise with Heads of Business Divisions and identify operational bottlenecks to improve productivity and performance.
- Gather, monitor, maintain, and analyze operational performance data from each business unit.
- Prepare operational reports and submit findings and recommendations to the Operations Manager.
- Review tenders, contracts, agreements, and other business documents as required.
- Identify and recommend resources including facilities, tools, equipment, information technology systems, and manpower to support business continuity and competitiveness.
- Support operational planning, resource allocation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor business performance indicators and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure efficient execution of operational objectives.
- Assist in developing strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Deputize for and perform the duties of the Operations Manager during absences, including decision-making and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and operational standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the achievement of organizational goals.
