Highland Products Limited, trading as Zenag Chicken, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to join our maintenance team in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and performing advanced auto electrical maintenance and repair activities across a diverse fleet of vehicles, trucks, and agricultural equipment.

Auto Electrician

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in auto electrical or related fields
• Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  Automotive Trade Certificate or Diploma; college level/graduate is an advantage

Technical Requirements and Experience:

• Experience with heavy vehicles and equipment such as Cummins, Komatsu, ISUZU, HINO, Perkins, Hyundai, Toyota, Kenworth, CAMC, JBC equipment, electric forklifts, and agricultural machinery (John Deere, New Holland, etc.)
• Strong background in repair and maintenance of auto-cum electrical systems
• Proficiency in advanced electronic diagnostic tools (ET) and programming systems
• Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and maintenance programs
• Strong understanding of repair and maintenance (R&M) requirements for fleet and mobile equipment

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of technical competence in auto electrical systems
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, plan, and coordinate fleet servicing and maintenance activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, high-quality, and safe operations
• Perform full range of auto electrical servicing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on trucks, light vehicles, farming equipment, and mobile plant
• Diagnose and repair ECM, EDU modules, starters, alternators, air-conditioning systems, and other electrical components
• Operate advanced electronic diagnostic tools (ET) and OBD programming systems
• Attend breakdowns and emergency repairs as required
• Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manage procurement requests for spare parts and services
• Monitor workshop performance and provide technical guidance, feedback, and support to technicians, tradespersons, and apprentices
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and prioritize work assignments
• Ensure quality control and proper troubleshooting of repair works
• Maintain accurate job orders, service reports, and maintenance records
• Conduct on-the-job training and assist in resolving complex electrical issues
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery and strong client relations
