SENIOR ANALYTICAL CHEMIST

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in analytical chemistry
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with UHPLC and ICP-MS
  • Experience in operation, troubleshooting, and method development
  • Experience with ICP-OES, mercury analysis, or related elemental analysis platforms is an advantage
  • Strong background in NIR spectroscopy and chemometric model development
  • Experience in model building and validation from scratch is highly desirable
  • Preferably Postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or equivalent
  • Additional training in:
    • Chromatography
    • Elemental analysis
    • Spectroscopy
    • Chemometrics
    • Method validation and quality systems (advantage)
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a laboratory team environment
  • Good documentation and reporting skills

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain analytical instruments including UHPLC, ICP-MS, and related systems
  • Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods
  • Perform elemental and chemical analysis with high accuracy and precision
  • Troubleshoot instrument and method-related issues
  • Develop and validate chemometric models, particularly using NIR spectroscopy
  • Analyze and interpret complex datasets and prepare technical reports
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards and procedures
  • Maintain proper documentation of laboratory activities and results
  • Support research, development, and continuous improvement initiatives

Salary and Benefits:
