Paper Machine Operator

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar role.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Paper Machine Operator, preferably in a tissue paper mill.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Strong understanding of paper machine operations and production processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the safe set-up, operation, and maintenance of the paper machine and its components.
• Support machine adjustments and perform quality checks on the Yankee cylinder and pope reel.
• Follow strict safety protocols, especially when working with high-temperature equipment like the Yankee cylinder.
• Monitor automated systems in the control room and adjust parameters such as paper tension, moisture, and grammage.
• Coordinate with other operators (e.g., stock preparation operators) to ensure smooth production flow.
• Inspect finished paper for defects and deviations and ensure compliance with job orders and customer specifications.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, including lubrication and minor repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
