Brake System Mounter
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have a passport.
- Candidate must know how to communicate in English.
- Strong understanding of brake components (cylinders, valves, brake pads, air compressors) and their functionality
- Proficient in using mechanical tools for brake system installation and adjustments (wrenches, hydraulic tools, lifting equipment)
- Familiar with brake system testing procedures and adjustment techniques to ensure optimal performance
- Ability to troubleshoot brake issues and perform maintenance on pneumatic, hydraulic, or mechanical brake systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and mount brake systems on wagons and locomotives, including components like brake cylinders, valves, and brake pads
- Follow technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals to correctly assemble and install braking components
- Test the functionality of the installed brake systems to ensure they meet safety standards and operational requirements
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on braking systems as needed
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to integrate brake systems with other mechanical and electrical systems
- Inspect brake components for damage or wear and report any issues or malfunctions
