Electrical Inspector
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering; Master’s in Operations Management preferred.
- 12+ years in the Oil and Gas industry, with 10+ years in Electrical and Cathodic Protection System Inspection.
- Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- NACE/AMPP Certification required.
- QMS ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, IOSH Managing Safely, and QMS ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditor certifications required.
Responsibilities:
- Design Cathodic Protection system upgrades for tanks, pipelines, road crossings, fire hydrants, and marine structures.
- Conduct electrical inspection surveys for battery banks, UPS, generators, motors, substations, transformers, and grounding systems.
- Perform Cathodic Protection inspections for rectifiers, anode junction boxes, tanks, vessels, pipelines, and marine structures.
- Prepare and share Electrical and Cathodic Protection Inspection reports within organizational guidelines.
- Report findings to the Operation Foreman and issue defect notifications through SAP/SAIF.
- Analyze failures in Electrical and Cathodic Protection systems and troubleshoot issues to prevent recurrence.1
- Conduct spot checks on plant maintenance and repair activities for critical electrical equipment.
- Review and update Equipment Inspection Schedules (EIS) for Electrical and Cathodic Protection assets.
- Ensure timely inspections as per EIS intervals and conduct pre-T&I surveys with recommendations.
- Review and provide feedback on standards and procedures during revision cycles.
- Perform annual checks on electrical testing instruments per ANSI/NETA standards.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
- Employment certificates
- NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
- PEOS certificate
