Environmental Engineer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in environmental engineering and operations, with at least 5 years in the Oil & Hydrocarbon Industry.
  • Preferred certification: Lead EMS Auditor (ISO 14001) or other advanced environmental certifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the focal point between the Department and EPD & PDT AA on environmental aspects and KPIs.
  • Organize and participate in surveys (EPAs, OHHAs, CEHAs, RPAs, NORM, EH) and address findings.
  • Monitor environmental issues, ensuring compliance and resolving non-compliance cases.
  • Stay updated on environmental regulations, standards, and Saudi Aramco programs.
  • Provide corrective actions for non-compliance and ensure full implementation.
  • Promote solid and liquid waste management and support EPD in inspections.
  • Detect and correct environmental violations and waste management issues.
  • Support the Hazard Material Communication (HAZCOM) Program implementation.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure HAZCOM compliance.
  • Provide HAZCOM training for new employees.
  • Coordinate Facility Environmental Management System activities, tracking performance and costs.
  • Review environmental project proposals and identify best practices.
  • Develop contract scope documents for environmental tasks and oversee implementation.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
  • Employment certificates
  • NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
  • PEOS certificate
