TRAYLINE SUPERVISOR

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food service management or a related field is an advantage.
• Proven experience in food service or trayline operations, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Supervisory experience is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
• Knowledge of dietary guidelines, portion control, and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate trayline operations to ensure timely and accurate meal preparation.
• Oversee staff to ensure compliance with dietary orders, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Ensure adherence to hospital food safety and sanitation protocols during tray assembly and service.
• Monitor trayline workflow and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Train and evaluate trayline staff to enhance performance and maintain quality standards.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure meals meet dietary and patient satisfaction requirements.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and coordinate with the purchasing department to replenish stock as needed.
• Prepare and submit reports on trayline operations, including productivity and quality metrics.
• Address patient or staff concerns regarding meal service and ensure excellent service delivery.
• Collaborate with dietary staff and healthcare teams to accommodate special dietary needs.
