General Farm Worker

Qualifications:

• At least high school graduate with minimum 2 years related experience.
• Knowledge in crop start-up, crop clean-out, crop maintenance, and product preparation for market.
• Must be 158 cm in height.
• Male candidates are preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Crop Start-up: Placing slabs, filling buckets, placing drip hose, rolling out plastic/tarp, planting, tying strings, etc.
• Crop Cleanout: rolling up tarp, chop out plants, removing plants, sweeping, cleaning out plant debris, basic maintenance, washing and sanitizing the greenhouse.
• Crop Maintenance: winding, suckering, de-leafing, pruning, applying bios, spraying, propagation, applying fertilizer.
• Product Prep for Market: Picking the product, sorting product, packaging product, grading product.
• Continuous general cleanup inside/outside the greenhouse and all related areas.
• General Maintenance.
• Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Great Lakes Greenhouses Inc. / GLG Organics Inc. Policies and Procedures.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
