Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Postgraduate qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.

Responsibilities

• Specializing in cost estimation, contract management, and financial control specifically related to the mechanical aspects of a building project, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget by accurately calculating material quantities, labor costs, and potential variations throughout the construction process.
• Analyze mechanical drawings and specifications to generate detailed cost breakdowns for mechanical components like pipes, ducts, equipment, and labor.
• Review and interpret mechanical contract documents to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Regularly visit construction sites to verify quantities of installed mechanical components against project drawings.
• Prepare detailed cost reports for mechanical works, including progress updates and variance analysis
