CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR (PHARMACY)
Qualifications:
- Up to 5 years of industry experience in the specialized discipline.
- Master’s degree to teach Bachelor programs and Bachelor’s degree to teach Diploma programs in the relevant field or specialized discipline
- Must have Experience in working in Applied universities or college is preferable.
- Must have a Valid licensure in country of qualification
- Must be Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Must have Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Think beyond short term objectives to consider the broader vision and strategic goals
- Support in cascading the overall functional strategy into operational goals.
- Facilitate the achievement of strategic objectives by allocating resources and focusing the efforts of the team.
- Provide an orientation for the students to the clinical sites including locations, schedules (days and hours), evaluation methods, and overall expectations and responsibilities
- Support faculty with the development of intentional objectives setting and competencies for clinical skills and competencies, including and assessments
- Review the student’s portfolio to tailor activities based upon their previous exposure, goals and expectations, or areas requiring growth
- Identify and assign appropriate activities and projects that are in alignment with the objectives and competencies for the clinical rotation to enhance student learning
- Monitor student progress to ensure objectives are adequately addressed and met
- Serve as a role model and mentor for health sciences students.
- Serve as a resource to enhance student success during placement and apprenticeships
- Maintain student confidentiality
- Facilitate and/or seek interactions with the management and other health care professionals of clinical practice sites.
- Assess student competence to identify strengths and address weaknesses. Complete written and verbal mid- and final-rotation evaluations with the student to communicate student progress and address any areas of concern
